German BEINING UPS ENERTRONIC I Series Industrial UPS Empowers China’s Industrial Transformation and

As China’s industrial automation and digital transformation continue to deepen, critical infrastructure sectors—including petrochemicals, power grids, rail transit, and nuclear power plants—are imposing ever-stricter requirements on power supply reliability. A millisecond-level voltage sag can halt production lines, cause data loss, or even trigger safety incidents. Against this backdrop, the ENERTRONIC I series industrial UPS from German BEINING POWER GmbH & Co. KG LIMITED, with its German engineering heritage and solid electrical performance, is becoming an increasingly vital component of China’s industrial power protection systems.
German Power Technology Expertise Since 1938
Founded in 1938, German BEINING has been深耕 the industrial and communications power sector for over eighty years. The company employs approximately 1,000 to 1,200 people worldwide, with 23 subsidiaries across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, and its products and solutions are deployed on all seven continents. Its business scope covers rectifiers, inverters, uninterruptible power supply systems, DC-DC converters, batteries, and charging equipment, positioning BEINING as a technology leader in the industrial power sector.
Unlike commercial-grade UPS products, the BEINING ENERTRONIC I series was designed from the ground up for harsh industrial environments, accumulating extensive industry application experience in scenarios such as oil drilling platforms, offshore wind power, nuclear power plants, and chemical facilities.
ENERTRONIC I Series: The Technical Benchmark for Industrial UPS
The ENERTRONIC I series is BEINING’s core industrial UPS product line, covering a power range from 10kVA to 240kVA and strictly complying with the highest UPS classification VFI-SS-111 as defined in IEC/EN 62040-3. VFI stands for “Voltage and Frequency Independent,” meaning that regardless of harmonic distortion, frequency drift, or complete mains interruption, the inverter consistently regenerates pure sine wave power for the load, achieving complete electrical isolation between the load and the grid.
In terms of core electrical performance, the series employs IGBT rectifier and inverter technology, achieving an input power factor ≥0.99 and input current total harmonic distortion below 5%, producing virtually no harmonic pollution to the upstream grid without the need for additional large filters to meet grid connection requirements. The rectifier can recharge a deeply discharged battery to 95% capacity within 12 hours, significantly enhancing system recovery capability.
In terms of extreme operating condition handling, industrial loads are inherently unpredictable—motor starting, solenoid valve actuation, and other transient inrush currents often reach multiples of the rated value. The ENERTRONIC I series inverter exhibits a voltage drop of less than ±2% under 100% load step changes, with a stabilization time of approximately 1 millisecond. Its overload capacity is 150% for 60 seconds, and the static bypass can withstand 500% load impact. The optional high short-circuit current capability enables three-phase output short-circuit current up to 4 times the rated current, ensuring reliable circuit breaker tripping during downstream distribution line faults and enabling selective protection coordination.
In terms of system reliability design, the series supports parallel operation of up to 8 units in active master/passive master redundancy mode, eliminating the single point of failure risk inherent in traditional master-slave architectures. Parallel systems can share a common battery bank, reducing system investment costs. Control circuits and power units are fully shielded, with cooling air passing only through power device heat sinks—not through electronic components or control circuits—ensuring stable operation even in dusty and polluted industrial environments.
Customized Power Industry Solution: Shared DC Power, Eliminating Redundant Investment
For power industry applications such as power plants and substations, the BEINING ENERTRONIC I series UPS can share a battery bank with the existing 220V DC operation power system on site, eliminating the need for a separate battery bank as required by conventional UPS systems. This effectively avoids redundant investment, reduces system maintenance, and lowers operating costs. The “BEINING” Power UPS system typically consists of three main components: the UPS main cabinet (integrating input/output isolation transformers, rectifier, inverter, and static bypass switch), the bypass isolation and voltage stabilization cabinet, and the feeder distribution cabinet. For small power ratings, all three can be integrated into a single unit.
This system has already been deployed in multiple nuclear power projects across China. The ENERTRONIC I series UPS is a true nuclear power plant-dedicated UPS system, designed specifically for the special environmental requirements of nuclear facilities, capable of long-term, reliable operation in nuclear power plants.
